Leadership team tenure

William has over three decades of industry experience and has been part of bp's executive leadership team since 2020.

He’s most recently served as EVP for G&LCE and EVP RC&S and has deep expertise in working with political, business and country stakeholders. William’s other roles at bp have included chief operating officer for upstream regions, chief of staff for the group CEO, regional president for Asia Pacific and vice president for gas development and operations for Egypt.

William is a non-executive director for Schroders PLC, Pan American Energy Group, and Chair of JERA Nex bp.
